We dive deeper into the UIL Girls' Basketball Tournament and Tipoff the Boys' Tournament to get the week started, with some early season high school baseball and softball thrown in for good measure.

Later in the week, the high school basketball playoffs will continue, plus Concordia University Baseball returns to the airwaves, and the 2011 STAF Champion Austin Vipers will make their 2012 debut on K-MAC Sports as a part of the Minor Professional Football League (MPFL).

If you love high school basketball, then K-MAC Sports is the place to be!  With a single Area Round playoff game on Thursday night (Feb. 16) and three more on Friday (Feb. 17), the girls’ playoff tournament is in full swing.

Meanwhile, twelve district games weren’t quite enough for the Vandegrift Vipers boys team, which will go a Baker’s Dozen in an extra “play-in” game against Dripping Springs on Friday for the right to advance to the post-season.

Finally, the Big Red Sports Network and K-MAC Sports will be there all weekend as the West Lady Trojans softball team takes part in the 2012 Gatesville Tournament.

High school girls basketball playoff action headlines our broadcast schedule this week, with three Bi-District games tipping off on Monday night (Feb. 13).

Also on Monday, the two-time defending Region I champion West Lady Trojans softball team meets the Robinson Rockettes for the first time since they met in the 2010 State Tournament. BJ Walters will have the call in game one of a 40-game slate on his K-MAC affiliate, Big Red Sports Network (BRSN).

Then it’s back to boys’ basketball on Tuesday night (Feb. 14), and while it might be Valentine’s Day on the calendar, there’ll be no love lost between district foes battling for playoffs spots.
